Very good course. Fast pace and easy to understand.

Just what I needed to help with retaking RHCSA Exam. Beginners need to go to upper right corner of course page to the right of Notes and download all the documents, read them before starting videos, download and install VirtualBox, and Linux and they should be ready to work along with the course videos. Awesome detailed examples of tasks and just what I needed to fill in those gaps that weren't covered by the expensive Red Hat Courses, Virtual Labs, and Books. Been a Windows MCSE for years and using Linux for the last two years and need those extra video lessons to learn more commands and pass my Linux certs. Great product, especially for the Groupon deal of $27.00 for both courses.

I just started this course but I am not sure where the instructions for connecting via ssh to your virtual machine are. If you download virtualbox from here: http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/5.0.10/VirtualBox-5.0.10-104061-Win.exe on windows machines, or virtualbox for other distros here: https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads then you can download the image for Debian 6 here: https://www.debian.org/releases/squeeze/debian-installer/ or click on this to get Debian 6: http://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/archive/6.0.10/amd64/iso-cd/debian-6.0.10-amd64-netinst.iso Then you can follow these instructions to create your virtual machine: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E26217_01/E26796/html/qs-create-vm.html make sure to type in Debian though for type. As far as connecting to the virtual Debian from putty is concerned, I am not sure if this is necessary or if you can just run the terminal from the virtual Debian directly, I have not gotten far in the course, just started. To open your terminal from the virtual machine, you can try ctrl-alt-t or usually applications, utilities or applications, accessories you will find terminal there where you can run the commands that they seem to be going over in the course. I do not know why they do not have these instructions posted, maybe I am just missing something.

This course is not usable as it doesn't provide you with a server environment, nor does it explain how to get access to a server. It automatically assumes that you are a paid member to linuxacademy.com which by signing up for this course you are not.

This course needs links to ask for clarification. The course starts out assuming so much that I cannot even figure out how to get my instance with IP address. WTF?? Am I missing something? Additionally, I enrolled with a Groupon but see a charge for the full price on my credit card. I paid for the Groupon and the coupon code should have made this course free. Again... No links for contacting someone about this issue. Perhaps it's time to dispute these charges and move to a better-organized company for this training? What a horrible customer experience. HORRIBLE!

I came to try to learn Linux but I found a training with a very poor resolution video, and the guy started to talk from the first video like I know what I was doing... this is "probably" a good training but it star in the wrong way. If you don't now Linux or how to install the server I wouldn't recommend this course.

This is horrible class I ever been and I took so c, C++, Java, microcontroller or machine language class at college but this is not for beginner you never provide software or course material that help student I was lost and I cant understand where to begin and this not the right class for beginner just tell us where we have to get the software to download and use it for practice.

This course is not for beginners. It starts beyond a beginners level which is misleading because of the course description.
